I forgot to post these pictures earlier in the post about the last day of school (Headstart) for the kids. We posed in front of the classrooms poster board which conveniently was the "Hungry Caterpillar". We also posed in front of the famous school bus they would ride.
Our little family wants to share and be apart of yours. We miss our family that is far away and feel this is a great way to bridge that distance. Our daddy works so hard and we miss him. This website is dedicated to all our family near and far, but especially to our daddy, Brian. We love you and will always be proud of you.

Last Day of Headstart (May 15th, 2012)
So the last day of school was really neat for the kids. I decided to go along on the bus with them and help out with the other kids. They made up sack lunches for the kids and brought along the Monarch butterflies that they had raised from Catapillars the month before that. They preformed the "The Hungry Catapillar" play a few days later (earlier post). Then after the lunch at the park, and releasing the Butterflies, they then fed the ducks at the pond. It was so much fun and truely a neat experience. Ely was able to go to and had a blast. When we all ran out of bread for feeding the ducks, the kids then had a blast on the playground. So much fun and truely a wonderful treat! A great way to end the great school year... Thank you for a great year Miss Cyndi and the Headstart program. We learned so much... Thank You!
Eating Cauliflower
So I told a little white fable and told the kids that if they eat Cauliflower it will make their muscles big and strong. So they wanted me to take pictures of them eating the magic vegtable that would make them superhero strong :)
Mothers Day
So I had a super wonderful Mothers Day. Wanted to post what the kids made for me at Preschool (those awesome and wonderful gifts that I will always treasure - personalized flower pots) and also the beautiful surprise of georgous flowers from Aunt Lynne and all the family - It was so special and beautiful that I was speechless for a while... Thank you for kind and thoughtful ways. We are so blessed and on this special day I was blessed immensley.Thank You again...
Also had a wonderful surprise that day... Evelynne wrote her name all by herself. See learned it at headstart. I can't say enough good things about the headstart program. They worked really well with the Speech Therapy program and she is a different person when it comes to her speaking/speech abilities. She is so much more confident in herself. I am so proud of her for all that she has accomplished! I love my little Angel! So blessed to have had the Lord send her into my life... I will never be the same and so glad for that. Thank you lord.
Messy BOY!
Here is another one of Ely having way to much fun with his breakfast oatmeal!!! How can I get upset when he looks so cute?!?!
Cowboy Day @ Preschool
So this is back this Spring but thought that Brigston looked so cute dressed up as a Cowboy. At Miss Krissy's Preschool they had a special themed day called Cowboy/Cowgirl day. They came dressed up as such as had some "REAL" adult cowboys come and bring their horses. They even cooked some hotdogs over a camp fire and gave horse rides. Such a fun experience for them. Here's the good lookin' cowboy...
Ely in the Tractor
It was fun earlier this year for Ely. He got to ride around in the tractor with his Aunt Tara. She said he did really well and was enjoyable to have in the tractor with her. So neat to have the kids share those farming experiences both with their dad in Iowa and here in Oregon too. We love the farm life and all that it provides and teaches. So grateful to have the opportunity to live and share the experience.
Enjoy the Ride Farmboy :)

The Hungry Catapillar
Headstart Graduation
May 16th, 2012
The Hungry Catapillar Play
The last few weeks of preschool, the kids raised catapillars and learned about the different stages before they become butterflies. On the last day of school they took a field trip to the park where they let their pet butterflies go out into the wild. In honor of their project, the teachers thought it would be nice to act out the "Hungry Catapillar" book at their graduation. Evelynne became the lead role as the catapillar who would eat all the food and then magically turn into the beautiful butterfly. Brigston was proudly the 3 purple plums that Evie would eat. Here is some of the photos and a video of the presentation. Some of the classmates didn't end up showing up so some of Brigs and Evie's cousins who came to support and watch, got to be in the actual play as some of the food that was eaten. Really neat and fun for all of us :)
Enjoy!

Oregon Landscape
Here's an idea of what it looks like where we are living. Its dry, arrid, sunny skies are beautiful and bright. Summers are my favorite time of year. We love taking walks out in the area and enjoy all the fun and exciting bugs, snakes, deer, etc. We live about 15 miles away from the nearest town so we have a close connection to nature and the desert enviroment. Our Iowa home is a different kind of beautiful; kind of like a Garden of Eden feel to it with everything green, beautiful, and humid. We also miss the magical lightening bugs. It has such a welcoming and warm attraction to it. Its great when we are able to visit and look forward to it again.
